Echoes
About Echoes.
An Echo is a story, memory, or reflection that carries:
-
Personal truth
-
Ancestral or cultural insight
-
Embodied wisdom
-
Healing or transformative experience
-
A voice once silenced, now ready to speak
You don’t need to be a “writer.” You only need to be real.

01.
Who can submit?
Anyone.
You don’t need to be a writer, healer, elder, or survivor of something extraordinary. If you have a voice even a silent one, you have an echo worth sharing.
We welcome stories from all cultures, all identities, all paths.
You are not here to prove anything, just to remember and reveal.
-
Written stories with supporting image/s (500–2,000 words)
-
5 to 15 minute creative audio/video accepted.

Types of Stories We Welcome
SomaEcho accepts personal, ancestral, cultural, and embodied echoes, including:
• A memory that changed your life
• An inherited story passed through your lineage
• A cultural ritual, truth, or belief you carry
• A healing journey or turning point
• A silence that you’re ready to break
• A voice that was once denied, now reclaimed
-
We also welcome art, poems, and audio forms as echoes.
03.
Safety, Consent, and Sovereignty
We honour the power of story and the need for consent, boundaries, and emotional safety.
• You choose what to share and how you are named.
• You may use a pseudonym.
• You retain full ownership of your story.
• You can request to update or remove your story at any time.
• We will never sell or repurpose your story beyond SomaEcho’s archive without explicit permission.
04.
Editorial Approach
Your voice will not be reshaped.
We may gently edit spelling, punctuation, or formatting for clarity but we will not alter meaning, emotion, or expression. You will always be contacted if deeper editing is proposed.
Map & Visibility
All accepted submissions are added to our Living StoryMap.
You can choose how visible your identity and location are (e.g., full name, first name only, anonymous). Every echo becomes part of the mosaic that shows how interconnected and deeply human, we truly are.
05.
Still Unsure?
If you’re not sure your story “counts,” or you’re feeling uncertain… you’re not alone. Many echoes begin in hesitation.
You are welcome to reach out to us first.
We can hold space, read drafts, or answer questions. There’s no pressure. Only invitation.
Submission Guidelines
Your Story is an Echo Worth Remembering
Every person carries echoes, memories woven into the body, lessons whispered through bloodlines, moments that shaped how we walk the world.
At SomaEcho, your lived experience is sacred. We invite you to share a story that lives in your bones, your voice, your silence, or your soul.
Whether you’ve survived, healed, witnessed, or remembered this is a space for truth to ripple, restore, and resonate.
